Petite Messe Solennelle - Rossini, Gioacchino Antonio

Apart from 'Stabat Mater', Rossini's 'little solemn mass', which he composed at the advanced age of 71, is his second major church music composition. In this work, the acclaimed 19th-century opera composer dealt intensively and creatively with Bach's and Palestrina's counterpoint. The edition is based on a revised reprint of the original publisher from Paris.
