Requiem - G. Fauré

Gabriel Fauré used violins sparingly in his Requiem preferring the texture of the lower strings. Where not employed in Fauré's score, Mark Armstrong has arranged first and second violins to double the viola section sensitively and unobtrusively throughout. This fuller sound has proved useful when performing with large choral forces while keeping the transparency of texture which the composer intended.

These parts are designed to augment a standard performing set which must be ordered separately from another publisher.
