Hodie Christus natus est - Giovanni Gabrieli

Giovanni Gabrieli (1557-1612) was like his uncle and teacher Andrea, one of the developers of the Venetian antiphonal style. He also was a student by Orlando di Lasso and took the antiphonal style to Rome and Germany.
