Roaring with the Lions - Shaun Davey
James Joyce died in January 1941 following the Nazi invasion of France and his family's flight to neutral Switzerland. Forced to abandon his piano in Paris, then escaping from Vichy territory with his wife, Nora, son Giorgio and grandson Stephen, he arrived in Zurich a sick man. Roaring with the Lions is Nora's defiant lament for him. Music by Shaun Davey and words by Shaun Davey and Nuala ní Dhomhnaill.
