'I began writing this arrangement to feature tenor vocalist Christian Shelton with wind band in January 2025 and completed it on Valentines Day, 2025. Although This Little Light of Mine has enjoyed wide success and popularity as is, for the purposes of context with a vocal soloist and large ensemble, I added an original introductory verse and an original bridge expanding the overall form'

Introduction:
The time returns when clouds appear, a time which seems the darkest,
Moving, churning trouble filled and joy may be the farthest.
Lonely moments hinder me from love and thoughtful care,
Finding hope and promise is the message I will share.
